Azerbaijan is an easy city-and-countryside combination. Give Baku enough time, then add Gabala, Shahdag or Sheki without turning the itinerary into continuous driving.

Entry for UAE travellers — reviewed 30 August 2026: UAE citizens can currently enter Azerbaijan visa-free for up to 90 days. UAE residents travelling on other passports should check the rule for their nationality; the Azerbaijan Embassy in the UAE also publishes visa-on-arrival eligibility for qualifying UAE residence-visa holders. Travellers staying for more than 15 days must be registered upon place of stay, normally through the hotel or accommodation provider. Check the Azerbaijan MFA visa-free list, Azerbaijan Embassy in the UAE visa guidance and State Migration Service registration guidance before travel.
