Kafu Travel Editorial Standards: How We Research and Recommend Trips

1 min read

Kafu’s travel guides follow an editorial method designed to give UAE travellers practical, verifiable answers. Articles are written to support a decision—not to inflate word counts or repeat promotional claims.

Our editorial principles

Answer first

We place the useful conclusion near the beginning, then explain comparisons and supporting detail.

Use authoritative sources

For time-sensitive facts, we prioritise tourism boards, airports, transport operators, embassies and government sources.

Avoid unrealistic promises

We do not guarantee weather, Northern Lights sightings, permanent prices or visa approval.

Use a UAE-traveller perspective

We consider flight time, connections, school holidays, family comfort and the value of time.

Show freshness

Time-sensitive guides state when information was reviewed and recommend rechecking at booking.

Separate judgement from fact

We distinguish editorial recommendations from facts supported by primary sources.

How we define “best”

“Best” does not mean a permanent global ranking. Kafu evaluates season, trip length, traveller type, transport simplicity, experience quality and budget. That is why our guides usually explain “best for whom?” instead of presenting context-free lists.

Pricing and visa policy

Prices, schedules and entry rules change. Any price should be tied to dates, availability, room type and inclusions. Visa requirements depend on passport nationality, residency and destination, so travellers must verify them with the relevant government authority or embassy.

Corrections and updates

If information becomes outdated or inaccurate, the page, wording and supporting source should be reviewed. Priority goes to current seasonal guides and questions with growing demand from UAE travellers.
